Right one, by my side

Most  times we underestimate the value of having good partners or even good friends around us . People that value you ,care and love you with intent.

Imagine how it feels for you to genuinely love someone without fear of love not being reciprocated or just fears of something happening because they hurt you or you just don’t want to be hurt. where you are not constantly living on the edge , afraid of being let down .

Choosing a partner and they too having to choose you probably feels like one of safest places,You liken it to the feeling of home .

This is not just entailed by them getting you luxurious gifts but even with simple actions that most times yield significance. A person who chooses to stick with you despite weaknesses you have.

A person who chooses to try even when odds are not in their favor because losing you is significant to them. Oh but a partner who listens and goes out of their way to make you happy.

Sometimes ( especially ladies) sight of a person that treats you so well is scary because you’ve been hurt so much and now you think the cycle will continue.

I used to ask my partner “who sent you “, as a way to mask up the fear I had for things not working out because my past brought me pain and I didn’t want to go through it again.

I always told myself I deserved better and there is someone who will treat me better. But now that I think of it ,I don’t think I ever believed  myself when I said that because I saw how normalized it was for people to have choose to be with a partner that was not good for them just as long as “you are not single”.                       

I pray that nothing ever changes for me to no longer advocate for a good love, because love is beautiful and has only been filthed by actions of the ignorant. So please find that good love, if you have water it .Dont allow the world to make you believe a good, healthy and beautiful love does not exist or is not worth it.
